I'm not crazy about the new format for men's golf with ta king the top 8 from the stroke play portion and then have an 8 team match play format. Alabama blew away the field in stroke play 2 years ago and would have been national Champs under the old format and the one still used by the women. Alabama won their first two matches before losing to Jordan Spieth and Texas on the last hole of the very last match.

No question, stroke play is the better indicator, whereas the match play format gives more teams a chance.
