A RB has to rely on other players (offensive linemen) to do great things. But I agree Hershel was a beast.
However Derrick Thomas did win games at Bama almost single handedly. In 1988 he had 9 Qb hurries, 3 sacks and a safety against penn st in a game alabama won 8-3

Two of my fellow Alabama fans believe that Lee Roy Jordan was a better linebacker than Derrick Thomas? Give me the reasons why, please.

Remind me again how many points Derrick Thomas scored in this game. Unless he had 2 safeties which would be 4 points or returned an fumble or an interception for a TD. Then I don't think he single handedly won this game.
We get it and all of us agree that DT was one of the greatest defensive players in the SEC of all time. No one is trying to take that away from him. But just stop with the greatest player of all time in the SEC.
