Don't tell LSU fans this but we had made it to Omaha like 5x before they made their 1st.

Was this suppose to be a zinger?

Exactly how many trophies were brought home by said trips

I don't think he meant it as a zinger at all. I think he meant it as a response to the LSU fan who claimed we didn't have a baseball program until the past decade.

You know, I like LSU fans - always got and get along with LSU fans. But let's admit something. Some, "some," LSU fans, not all, but some LSU fans remind me of some Bama (football) fans when it comes to baseball. In other words, everyone else in the conference is a distant second afterthought, not worthy of even being in a discussion.

I would think LSU fans, of all people, would not want to be looked upon like that when it comes to baseball ... like the "6>2" comment with the laughing emoticons. But I get it, I do.

I think, with regard to the LSU poster who claimed SCAR just started their baseball program a decade ago, I think perhaps both MSU and SCAR were regulars in Omaha a decade before LSU got there so the claim that LSU was the first, or oldest, successful program in the SEC is really not accurate.

LSU has the superior program overall, in terms of national championships. I give cudos to LSU for that, it's a helluva feat to go 6-0 in championship games. Congrats on your said trophies in said trips.

Both SCAR and LSU have played in six championship games or series.

LSU's winning percentage in Omaha is 2.19 wins per trip (16) for a .614 winning percentage.
SCAR's winning percentage in Omaha is 2.91 wins per trip (11) for a .691 winning percentage.

Both programs' fans should be proud. Let's go get some more. We've got work to do to pass the PAC 12 as the best overall baseball conference in the country.

But at least we still made it to the NC game, plus won a couple others. It's great to be a fan of a school that can say that, unlike a fan of a team who never even made a BCSNC.
