I was born in 1964 and will be 50 a week from today. 
I was born in the last year of the baby boomer generation. This world sure has changed alot since I was a kid, some for the better, some worse.
I had a pretty good friend in the 80s' that was gay. Super nice guy, loved to party, and had some hot girl friends. I don't know what happened to him, as I met him through my best friend and we all hung out together. I guess the moral of the story is, I try not to judge, tolerant on this issue as I have a half brother that is gay. I just don't like it thrown in my face like ESPN did.

Nothing wrong with that. It shouldn't be "yea or nea" situation anyway.
I dont like the mislabeling of folks as bigots for having a dissenting view that is that innocuous.
I have always been very conservative, politically and socially, but things change, and that ensuing discourse is what makes "us" great,
