Richt has certainly had some underachieving seasons, but I do enjoy all of the SEC teams that trash on him. Exactly one SEC team has a winning record vs. Richt (Florida).
Other than that one team (that Richt currently has three consecutive wins against) every other SEC team has failed to post a winning record vs. Richt.

There are some super tards in this thread, but the bottom line is that the OP is right and there really hasn't been any point where Richt clearly should have been fired. The ONLY time you can even make the SLIGHTEST case would be after 2010. I know for a fact that Richt was given a mandate by the AD that he had to win a certain number of games in 2011 or he was going to be fired. We ended up winning 10 games and the east. The following year we competed for a title. So basically no, there has been no point where you can undeniably say "Richt should have been fired at such and such time".
It's different with a guy like Chiz, because everyone knew he only was successful because of his QB and his OC. And in between he had 2 unbelievably lousy seasons. Richt has never had a season even approach as bad as auburn was the past few years so it's not a clear cut black and white type of deal.
