Not a national championship coach, but Beamer should be considered elite, and I don't think he had a winning record at Tech till year 6. That would never happen now.
Richt is a great coach, a little bad luck and playing in the best conference in the history of college football.

And he'll probably be there after Miles, Saban and Spurrier has retired.
