Wow what a bitch. If lsu claims to be a big 6, them man up and play big 6 teams.

It's not a claim it's a fact shithead. LSU has played the toughest schedule and managed to win more games than any other SEC team over this same period. Just take a look at our head-to-head record against auburn the past ten years before you continue to make yourself look foolish.

Didn't Ole Miss and MSU play in the Governor's Cup against each other in the midweek recently that didn't count against the SEC schedule? So that's okay to get a chance to play a Rivalry game in that situation but not for other teams in Football? Seemingly a double standard at work.

I think the most interesting thing to come out of this were the bridge scheduling for two years which lead to...nothing. Bama directly benefitted from this. LSU received a definitively more difficult schedule as a result.

The bottom line is that there are a lot of factors that are at play in maintaining an unfair status quo. First and foremost, forget about Bama/TN and UGA/AU. Teams like Ole Miss and MSU aren't ever going to get mad about their opponents because the truth is that if LSU and Florida are decoupled, someone else is going to get them. Which means another conference game against a program that's consistently more successful and more challenging to truly compete with in football annually.

Why would Ole Miss or Vandy vote for something that makes winning in this conference more difficult? It just doesn't make sense.

Alleva is in a no-win situation. LSU is tired of self interest disguised as what's best for the SEC as a conference. We're also tired of the Alabama bias. It's real. It's not obsession. So he has to tilt at windmills.

LSU folks probably thought just maybe that Herb Vincent might make a difference in the SEC office. It was foolish in hindsight. You have an Alabama grad in charge of scheduling, so who cares whose writing the press releases.

Oh well. We did what we had to do.
