Yes Patton,they are. Talking about fining the guy and taking forms of punitive action.

He has broken no laws. What he said was in extremely poor taste but I would stand against any penalties. Let the people decide with their wallets. Don't watch.Don't buy tickets. Oppose him on social media.

Fines and punitive action don't require breaking laws.

Freedom of speech. Not freedom from consequences. If he doesn't want to pay fines he should take them to court once he gets hit with them.

People get fined in pro sports all the time for not breaking the law. He will probably get the biggest fine in NBA history (the max right now is 1m) and some sort of suspension. And deservedly so.

Like Patton said if he wants to fight that then go ahead.
