It's very rare for an SEC waver to get passed in order for a former SEC signee to go directly to another SEC program, so Tennessee feels pretty confident that Cofer won't be able to go to Auburn or Bama or somewhere like that unless he wants to be a walk-on for two years. And they won't want to do that.

This is what Wes Rucker said. Not sure why it would be different for Turman, but maybe it would.

I doubt it will be different, but the Jalen Steele situation is still bugging me. I wish a State fan could clarify that situation for me.

The difference between the 2 to me is that Cofer is obviously still very interested in UT and the odds are in their favor. Turman, on the other hand, is clearly not interested in going to UT any more so why would they still restrict him from going to another SEC school?
