Besides his style of play, all the off the court issues that plagued him at UCLA, you hire a coach who wasn't considered for any of the several lesser jobs that were open this past year, let alone the equal or better jobs..
I'll take a guy who's been to as many Final 4's as Bill Self and Gregg Marshall combined. He was cleared of any NCAA wrong doing so I don't care about that other shite.
You think UK was pissed about getting Cal with all of his "baggage"?

Cal had taken two different schools to the final four over a decade apart with an NBA stint in between.
