Rhett announced he would transfer to Ole Miss last week, but was recruited by Al Pinkins, who accepted the same job at Tennessee today. He did not sign a LOI and is free to enroll anywhere he wants. There is believed to be mutual interest between Rhett and Tennessee.

Steele, the former Mississippi State SG, had previously announced he would enroll at MTSU in May, but there's now a belief that there's mutual interest there as well between Tyndall and Steele.

Both players would be eligible to play immediately.

Wow, if we get Steele and Rhett, I'm 100% all in on Tyndall.

Excellent stop gaps.

It's amazing how we're roasted, nationally, for wanting Cuonzo out, and when the next guy comes in the narrative quickly shifts to "how do we overhaul our depleted roster."

I kind of wanted to start a thread on the MSB about something like this. If you were a coach taking over a program, how would you start the rebuilding process?

I don't disagree with going after graduate transfers to put together the best season you can in year one while transition to recruiting your type of players in high school to start bringing them in in year 2.

Most of the time a coaching change means a philosophical shift in style of play and sometimes also in management style. Scorched earth for the previous coach's players may not be a bad thing in every instance.
