I do business from Virginia to Texas. Most of my clients know where my fandom lies, and it has played 0 role.
People who try to make a living off of networking are not viewed as professionals in my business. There has to be a combination of relationship building skills and knowledge.

That's my point. Stupid fans have not hurt the LSU brand. Their actions only affect media and message board comments. There is no real, tangible degradation to the "brand".
