Well obviously teams with less success have fewer sidewalk fans. In many ways the number of sidewalk fans is a measure of success.
I don't know if I can exempt you though with Vandy being not bad recently and Tenn being a trainwreck.

And you think a future engineering employer would judge an employee based upon the stupid actions of a sports fan associated with Auburn? That is just about the only real value of brand association. It's possible you just care too much what others think of you?
