Y'all thinking he can't compete and win the SEC with consistent top 15 recruiting classes are just sad.

Well considering a top 15 class is about 5th in the west and 6-8 in the SEC overall I don't think that 1 = the other.

Y'all negative punks can stay the way you are, but I have faith. I'm not irrational, either. I predicted 7 regular season wins last year. I figure on 8 being the goal this year. Anything else is gravy.

How is that disagreeing with anything I've said? Does 8 wins = SECw title?

quote:

I believe our coaching got us to 8 wins last year IN SPITE of our rash of injuries.

We still lost 2 games we should not have. Just like in 2012. Do you blame Nutt for those losses? The players? If you blame the players, did you also blame them when Nutt was here? No, it ultimately falls on the coaching staff.

People expect too much too quickly these days.

Wait wait wait... You're the one thinking we are gonna compete for an SEC championship but WE are the ones expecting to much to soon? Lulz

Suck it up, losers. I'm sick of reading your lame arse whiny woe-is-me bullshite.

This post is the most "lame arse whiny woe-is-me-bullshite" I've seen on this board in a minute. You may not be irrational in your prediction for next season but this post was pretty fricking irrational.

I'm not saying we will compete THIS YEAR.

I'm saying that we CAN compete once Freeze is completely settled in.

You guys are the ones saying we will NEVER COMPETE EVER BECAUSE WAOM IS ME.

I'm sick of that shite. It's such a cop out. Like you're too cool to care.

Why even follow the team if you think it's incapable of being built into a winner?

I'm not saying we will win this year. I'm saying we can be built into a winner.

What games did we lose that we should have won?

Let's go down the list of losses:

Bama - LOL
Auburn - Nope. No way we "should have won" that one.
TAMU - If this is one of your "should have wons" then you're crazy. Toss up game could go either way.
Mizzou - SEC East champs. Think we "should have won" that one? Toss up. Wrong side of it for us.
State - Never is a "should win" in Starkville. It's a rivalry. The underdog will always play out of their minds.

We lost some toss ups and then we lost to Bama. The ball didn't bounce our way in the toss-ups thanks to injuries and, yes, bone-headed play calling in some areas. Every good coach has shitty games. The ones at talented schools get way with it thanks to their talent level on the field. We don't have that, yet.

Top 15 classes are enough to compete in the SEC when combined with good coaching. I think Freeze is young and has shown that he will improve his game- planning and decision making. He attempts to make adjustments when something doesn't work. He's been stubborn a few times, but young coaches will be.

I just think it's ridiculous to support a team you think will never be capable of winning its conference.

Sorantable's shtick has been pretty lame lately, talking about how we'll never compete for championships so we shouldn't care. Well we absolutely "competed" in 03 with trash recruiting, so yes I think we can compete again. We are at a huge disadvantage, but if everyone in our fanbase has that defeatist attitude we for sure will never compete. I can be pretty negative, but the rolling over and giving up completely makes me sick.
