Is the ability to run down a receiver full stride and strip the ball away an innate quality or can it be taught?
Of course it is taught. You work on pursuit angle drills as a secondary in virtually every practice. The strip of the ball is taught as well. Once you are in proper position you "Rake all three", meaning the one he's carrying and the two God gave him. The key to that play by Teague was not just the strip, but that he held on to the ball after the strip. If Thomas had been carrying the ball in the sideline arm, the strip likely never happens, though.
Incredible effort play by Teague.
