I lived east of Olathe (Leawood, KS) for 20 yrs. I know Olathe has good schools and plenty of housing choices. Also good access to get around KC area. I would suggest living close to work and enjoy the convenience offered.
Housing choices range from apartment, condo, duplex, etc. to single family housing from modest to very upscale. Bound to be something to fit your pocketbook.
