Appreciate the input . Just have to see if get the gig or not after I interview, but at least it's nice to start doing some searching.

Just know that if you search south, or around the area of 135th on the Kansas side, you will need to be making so me serious cabbage. It's where the new money resides, and it's growing at a pretty rapid pace. It's a fantastic part of town especially if you enjoy the suburbs like me. Great school district, lot's of shopping, ritzy stores, nice restaurants, it's pretty much all new. Can't go wrong there if you can afford it. Taxes are noticeable higher in all phases on the Kansas side.
So if you can afford that area, go for it, but if you want to save some cash, again, I would look at Lees Summit, the southern part to be more exact. The other places mentioned up north are nice, but you will have a fairly long commute back and forth to work.
I lived in the Lenexa/Shawnee area for about 18 years and really liked the area. It's in close proximity to Olathe, decent neighborhoods, and easy access to highways.
