They've been doing it with Richt for years. He still pulls top classes.

He has it way easier than whoever is HC of A&M.

Richt is at the flagship FBS university in Georgia and one of just 4 FBS teams with Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and Georgia Southern as the others. Their one P5 rival happens to be an egghead school that has much harder admission and eligibility hurdles to overcome. On top of that, GT is slowly killing its program by employing an option coach who is driving away their better players.

Meanwhile, in the state of Texas, A&M has 4 P5 FBS schools to recruit against in Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, and TCU. There are also 7 more FBS schools in SMU, Houston, Rice, UTEP, UTSA, Texas State, and North Texas. Hell, you may as well had OU and Okie Light as Texas based schools too since they primarily recruit their best players from the state.

Never mind that Richt also has his Mr. Christian thing to deflect any trouble that goes on at UGA. Sumlin doesn't have that at all.
