Rankings are mostly determined by money and politics. I sincerely doubt that many of the schools listed above MSU in those departments are any better. MSU's vet school has been regarded among the best in the country for over 3 decades, same with forestry.

MSU has also been a pioneering school in aerospace engineering. The first composite aircraft ever made, was designed, built, and first flown at MSU's school of aerospace engineering, in the early '60s. MSU also, in conjunction with Honda, built the first prototype Honda jet in the late '80s. This was done at MSU's Raspet flight laboratory. Now the Honda jet is fully FAA certified and being produced for the Very Light Jet (VLJ) market. MSU also has one of, if not the largest autoclave in the country at it's aerospace school. Institutions come from everywhere to conduct testing and experimentation at the Raspet flight lab at MSU.

So what has your school done?
