Actually there is a lot of natural beauty in MS. One of the things that baffles me is the vast amount of unused beautiful land this state has.

If you went through the Delta then I understand. 
There are some really great parts of the state. Unfortunately as the late,great Bukowski says, "The problem with the world is the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence."
