Yepp. And IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF Wacha can come back healthy, I like our chances for a stretch run with Waino, Lynn, a rested Wacha and then throw in Lackey and whomever.
If Wacha is, in fact, healthy, that's 3 starters with a sub 3.00 ERA. Yes, I know. ERA is not the end all, be all.

Was in STL for the first playoff game last year, dusting off the suitcases seems in order.

Just don't be throwing the bad mojo on us too early.

Waino almost blanked em, and we busted out the long ball to score was it 5 or 7 in the third?
Assuming I didn't hex the setup too bad!!

This is kind of reminding me of whatever year that was where we were getting everyone back healthy just in time for the stretch run and made the playoffs.

2011.
I was thinking about that the other day. The difference was we had some bigger bats.
This year, no power.
We miss having a Pujols or Beltran type bat, yet somehow, they continue to grind. Much thanks to Milwaukee for sucking lately.

It really is amazing considering I don't even think they've really played WELL yet. Don't get me wrong, good games here and there, but tonight for example...not the greatest outing by Waino. If they get it all clicking at the same time, good things can happen.

4 games out front? Are you flipping kidding me????
Waccha...for a first game back I'll take it. Thought he got hit hard at times but his defense bailed him out. Saw him hit 97 on one fastball. I'm thinking he may be the nail in the coffin for the Brewers if there are no more setbacks.

How bout ol Pete in CF last night.
The look and demeanor he had after making that catch, it's like he knew he solidified himself.
He's definitely a guy you want in your foxhole.
The enemy is a few hundreds yards away, it's 1942, you want to look around that foxhole and love and trust every man in there, he's that kinda guy.
Best coach I ever had would always apply the foxhole test -- if you weren't that kinda guy you were gone.

I think the guys overall are finding their roles and their identity. Jay doesn't have the arm in right, but he looks to cover the field better from right than in center.
Scary thing...still don't think this team has played their best baseball.

This is a good sign IF they can hang on and get into October.
I've seen too many teams peak too early, and have the air let out of the sails in October. I'll take a team that has had to fight to win 90 games, and finds their mark in September over a team that wins 105 and cruises into the playoffs.

The stars are aligning brother, they are aligning.
Molina back.
Wacha back.
Lackey throwing well in all but the Baltimore game.
Light hitting Buorjos, Jay, Descalsio and Kozma of all people seem to have found their swings.
Not many fans here, but Holliday has been lacing the ball.
Miller had his best outing of the year last time out.

If Wacha, Waino, Lynn, and Lackey are good to go for playoffs does Miller go unused again, like last year?
Can't see a bullpen role for him, besides mop up duty.
With Gonzalez looking relatively ready to make a push in '15, Martinez, possible allowing Rosie or Seigrest to attempt starting to go along with the 4 guys that are certainties I would looove to move him. Any agree'ers?
