I don't remember Jacobs getting crushed either. Chizik had just gone 3-9 and had a team totally quit on him. Jacobs had no choice.
That has never happened with Richt. FTR, I was ready to fire him after 2010, but McGarity was a new AD and didn't take that step. Since then, we've won a lot of games, and the program is in a good place, contrary to popular opinion on the rant. You simply can't fire him now. It's not practical.

At the beginning of 2010, a ton of UGA fans were done with CMR. The 2012 season did a lot to heal that.
