I think CMR is a good enough coach to win a NC with, so no. He's not elite, but he's a good coach that we would have trouble finding a upgrade for if we fired him.

The AD has to make the decision that's best for the program, regardless of other outside factors. We're just as likely to end up in a UT-like clusterfrick as we are to find a better coach than Richt.

This.

Firing him would be a PR nightmare with fans, HS coaches, recruits, pretty much everyone.
