Well, for people who already know what is on the game tape, the opinion wouldn't be altered that much. But for someone who hadn't seen enough tape or if they run a different type of scheme, they could be impressed by an in-person showing.

Maybe they wanted to see a certain type of throw they hadn't seen on tape. And if he excels at that throw, they could be impressed b/c they are now sure he can make the throw.

Did you happen to catch any of the reactions from Kurt Warner, Bill Polian, Bill O'Brien, Lovie Smith, or Mike Mayock? Maybe it was not on twitter, but the reaction seemed to indicate they were impressed.

Point is saying "it doesn't mean much" is not accurate. It means something. It means different things for different Coaches/GMs.
