Agree with this. Grantham was definite improvement over Martinez from my perspective. We had a lot of defensive talent in 2012 and had our defense played well enough to beat Alabama in the SECCG and ND in the NC that year, Grantham would probably still be our DC and we would have been singing his praises. Still, that didn't happen and it was clear that Grantham underachieved with a talented group in 2012 and the system complexity issue did seem valid especially with they young defense we had last season.
Overall, as a dawg fan I feel pretty good about the way things worked out with Grantham getting a pay raise going to Louiville and UGA getting proven DC who had just won a NC at FSU; pretty amazing really.

Say what? We gave up 350 yards rushing in the SECCG!The 2012 defense was the worst rushing defesne in UGA FB HISTORY and we had 7 guys that made NFL rosters...perhaps one of the worst DC
efforts in UGA history. CTG had nothing to do with UGA's success in 2012.
