The thing about Munson was he was a TOTAL homer. he was GEORGIA's announcer. he was accurate in his description of the game, but it was very clear he was paid by UGA contracted Radio. didnt try to be neutral at all.
he was a great announcer though. An artist with words and his passion for the game and his knowledge. Really one of a handful of throwbacks. John Ward at UT was the same. I like to think of Fyffe at Auburn similarly though Jim didnt serve as long as Larry.
the SEC misses these guys. Respect all around.

I love homer announcers. I could not care less if they're rooting against my team as long as they are accurate with the PBP or analysis. Homerism means passion, which is fun to listen to.
