I know you are looking for bites but I'll answer anyway.

In 2007 we sucked. That accounts for 3 of them.

For the other 2, Saban teams tend to struggle when there are no championships on the line. They are unmotivted and expect to just show up and win. The lone exception was MSU in 2010 but they were just so overmatched that UA really was able to just show up and win. Honestly, I expect the trend to continue and if we are not playing to win it all (or advance in the new playoff format) we will likely sleepwalk through the game.

Luckily, there is a very small sample size of games where we are not in the mix for the championship. #goingfullgump

I like and agree with your analysis but you are selling Bama's performance short here. I think Bama beats just about any team in the country that day we played MSU. That team was fired up and that was about as thorough of a beatdown of a BCS conference school as you will ever see. The entire game was a highlight real of game ending hits and big plays on offense.
