Neither Butch Jones nor Brian Kelly recruited players good enough to stop Justin Hunter and Da'Rick Rodgers. That's not a knock against either coach - more of a testament to the Cincinnati program.
And to say that Butch lost to Dooley is laughable. He lost to superior talent. Tyler Bray, not know for his intelligence or football acumen, was ignoring the coaching staff and calling his own plays. It was that much of a mismatch.

Is this actually documented or is this one of those message board rumors that people start to believe is true as more time goes by.
