maybe i wasn't giving him enough credit... the point i was making was he's not coach K or bob knight... i love the style his teams play with and he's had a nice 2 or 3 year run of late... but his career accomplishments aren't all that great for a guy who's got to be in his mid-60s.

He wasnt lucky enough to start at a young age at Duke or Indiana.

Beilein is an elite coach. I wouldnt trade him for any other coach in the B1G.

I thought Smart was in his late 30's early 40's?

Either way, Basketball coaches don't have the pressure and wanderlust of football coaches. The NCAA tourney gives them more equal opportunity to win it all so they don't feel the need to move to a bigger school. I think they're more content to wait for the right job now
