One thing I am really glad to see is how conservative the SEC is being about everything. No projections, no $X million a year, no bluster. Just honesty and low expectations early on. I think that plan is a winner.

I think this is yet another way that Aggies can thank the heavens for the LHN, because you can tell that ESPN is also being very conservative about hype before they get distribution. It is very obvious where they learned that lesson.

Personally I think its going to be huge, like 100 million subscribers in five years and much bigger than what ESPN U is today. In fact I think in ten years the SEC Network will be the mouse's third most distributed sports channel. But I dream of crossing that $15 million a year line and finally burning my last green shaggy sock.

Overall I am glad the people running the show are less gung ho than me, it bodes well for the future.
