Stupid for the school not to take care of her, but there's frostbite and then their's frostbite.

I caught a little frostbite in the Mojave Desert as a kid (who knew it got cold in the deser? Not dad. ), but it wasn't that bad and not debilitating at all.

You hear frostbite and you think of climbers losing ears, noses, fingers and toes on Everest or something. Doubt if this was anything like that. Not good for the school, but not a huge tragedy, either.
