The study I read claimed that if you let them win at games too often they grow up feeling more entitled and become less successful in life bc they aren't willing to work as hard.

On the other hand it said if you never let them win they grow up with a defeatist attitude and are not as successful bc they don't see the point in trying as hard.

As with everything in life, moderation is key.

That and the fact that some parents act like every little thing their kids do is some great accomplishment.

I don't know. My dad never let me win in basketball growing up. He'd use his height advantage and just completely wreck me. The games got closer and closer the older I got, but I could never get the better of him. I've always been shorter than him so he always had the physical advantage. I never felt down or anything about it. It made me want to try even harder and keep practicing. He seemed really tore up when I finally did beat him. I was about 16-17 and he was 38.
