What is the situation with wifi or smartphone connectivity on gameday at WBS? The last time I was there, I didnt have a smart phone so I don't know if its bad or good.
I heard Sanford Stadium has upgraded bandwidth for this upcoming season but only for ATT customers. It's been really bad in the past, can't even send a text message.
What's the story with Willy Brice?

Verizon works pretty well. AT&T is awful.
I don't think we're set up for wireless.

I've had terrible experience with Verizon in the stadium. Spotty around it.
Pretty sure its not set up for wifi. And when I was in the stadium I couldn't post on the rant

Yeah, I'm not saying Verizon works like it normally does but I've been able to send texts and upload pics w/ only a modest delay. Drains battery pretty quickly, though. Best to keep it on airplane mode until you need to use it.

Last year ATT worked amazingly. Everyone around me had problems with Verizon.

Odd. My friends at UGA game two years ago couldn't get any service w/ ATT while I was able to upload a photo to Instagram from w/in the stadium using Verizon. Who knows.

Oh the years before that ATT was terrible. I didn't even try.
Last year I never had problems. I uploaded videos during halftime at normal speed

Verizon is the official carrier of SCAR in all its venues.
80% of the state market is Verizon, especially thanks to fricking Obama giving away Obama phones with Verizon as the carrier unfortunately for those of us who have been with Verizon since they bought-out our old Bell Atlantic service that I first had starting in the late 80s. But Verizon still gives the best coverage nationwide bar none and by a long shot.
So back to the question.
It's all hit and miss. Even though Verizon added extra fiber optics and redirected another tower towards the stadium, it can still be spotting with 80k plus are all trying to text someone or download ESPN Scores Mobile at the same time ... while the AT&T tower, which is probably built to handle 50k, has 10k users hitting it at the same time.
I can tell you this. When I go to the Cockaboose during the offseason, the Verizon signal is so strong that I can upload and download faster than I can using wifi at home. I've Speed Tested the transfer rate from the Cockaboose during the off-season and it serious gives me pause every time I do it thinking there must be so many microwaves pulsing through me that it's going to make me sterile.
There are no plans to put wifi into Billy Brice that I know of ... and I think I would, other than what already exists in the press box and on the luxury box levels. They did install wifi In The Zone two or three years ago but they'll never direct it out into the stands imho.

Is The Zone the new tailgate area on the opposite side of the fair ground?
