Apparently hurt his knee and out for a while? Could be rumor, it was from ED after all.

Who would have thought, get more info about us from ED than our own sites, about how it always works lol.

didn't he injury his knee before? Willing to bet that's the case and they just didn't know about it.

You are probably right! I haven't seen anything on any ole miss website or social media page, so I thought someone here would probably know.

I've been searching for something on Christian after I saw that and can't find anything. If it's true, amazing now ED finds out things going on in our program before anyone else

It's actually an achilles injury which is located in the ankle. He will be out all of Spring practice and possibly the season. If so, this is a big blow to our depth on the OL.

Well, people do tend to talk in front of janitors without worry.

I'm seeing that too. How the hell are we even going to scrimmage? We have three total tackles if you moved Aaron and Golson out there. Conyers is going to have to be our center unless Bell can learn to snap the ball.

He still had to be cleared to play for next year. He would have been able to go through Spring ball.

Our lack of depth begs the question - was Hutson really that bad that he couldn't even provide decent depth?

No it isn't, he wasn't considered as part of the depth chart because they weren't even sure if he would get the waiver. He would have helped if he did get it and was healthy, but is not a big blow.

This. Like I said, I don't see how we can even scrimmage with three tackles(two of which have only played guard at OM).

Who do we have as far as OL next year?

Justin Bell
Ben Still
Robert Conyers
Austin Golson
Laremy Tunsil
Aaron Morris
Darone Bailey
Davion Johnson
Daronte Bouldin

And now the five we signed this year:

Fahn Cooper
Rod Taylor
Tyler Putnam (needs a RS)
Jordan Sims (probably needs a RS)
Sean Rawlings (def needs a RS)

That's 11 warm bodies. Not a lot of XP to work with. How many legit tackles? Where will those two RS freshmen end up? (Davion and Daronte)

That list right there shows we are still a year away from having a solid sec OL. Next spring Rod Taylor, Christian Morris, Fahn Cooper, and Javon Patterson will be on that list and football will be so much fun

Patterson needs to just go ahead and commit

That's not really fair. On that list, only Bailey and Still have yet to show any signs of being SEC caliber. I'm anxious to see how Davion and Daronte pan out.

We have one player on that entire list who has played tackle. That is not recipe for a SEC roster

Edit: and I don't mean we can't win 8-10 games if everything goes well but literally everything has to go well for our OL not to be a problem yet again. From 2015 and on we shouldn't have that issue again

That's great, but Morris was never more then a maybe regardless of who else we have. Now he is a no.
