The player average rating was 89.34 (according to the 24/7 composite average). That would put UT's class at #13 nationally by player average. That would put UT behind Bama, LSU, aTm, UGA, AU and UF.

That being said...if you were going to field a football team, would you rather have 21 players with an average score of 90.7 or 32 players with an average score of 89.3? If you already have plenty of depth, then you can focus solely on individual player quality. If you need to add depth, then you need both quality and quantity.

UT had an excellent class. Most importantly...they filled spots of need.

Well look at that. Not top 10.

Perhaps your fellow posters should learn how to sort a rankings list.
