TideSaint, you're on the spot right now.
Does Bama get: (yes or no for each)
Daron Payne
Tim Settle
Zach Gentry
Damien Harris or Jovon Robinson
A top 10 composite OT

So IMO we now have the 2 most underrated LBs in this class (Leo Lewis is the other if you've seen his highlights he should be a 5 star)
Christian Bell is rated way too low his Sophmore highlights are extremely impressive. He's long lean gets to the QB in a hurry, can read and dissect really well a perfect OLB for Bama's scheme
The highlights are kinda long because almost every time he was on the field he was making an impact
Bell is already rated as the #197 player overall on Rivals and he is in the ESPN 300. 247 just needs to do another evaluation. His Hudl highlights are private so perhaps they haven't seen his Junior film yet.
Lewis will be a 5-star in the end.

We suck.
I reserve the right to change these predictions by the way.
The spring evaluation period just started so our coaches' visits will be extremely telling in regards to where prospects stand on our board. No coincidence that the first reported visit is to Payne.

"Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson DT Tim Settle is widely regarded as one of the best prospects in the Class of 2015. He has scholarship offers from every major college football program in the nation and is ranked as the No. 19 overall player by the 247Composite.
At one point it seemed like Settle could be headed to Ohio State as both parties were mutually interested, but Bucknuts is being told by a source that OSU will not longer be recruiting the five-star prospect.
The reason given was that the staff has some concerns that we can't go into detail on, but that the decision to no longer recruit Settle was made, explaining the lack of contact from the staff the last few months."
I wonder what the deal is with this situation?

Alabama has opened as a 24 point favorite over West Virginia.

Maybe tOSU committed a self-reported recruiting violation and now they have to cease contact with him? Just guessing.

Could be, but why would Bucknuts keep that under wraps? They sounded very cryptic in that release.

We got a new CB for Tim Settle

Maybe it was a booster behaving badly

FWIW, the guy who put in the CB for Settle is the Tennessee 247 mod. I know Settle visited UT earlier this spring so perhaps he knows what he is talking about.

shite.
The QB I like the most out of who is left, Quinten Dormady, has had two CBs to Texas in the last 12 hours. One of them is from the Texas 247 mod.

Boerne quarterback Quinten Dormady made it to campus for the spring game and also watched two spring practices last week. All of those visits gave him a chance to speak further with the Texas staff.
Shawn Watson has made it clear to Dormady that Texas is clearly interested in him, but they want to evaluate him further before moving forward with an offer. That evaluation will actually start in the coming weeks.
Watson will stop by Boerne on May 7 to watch Dormady throw and workout with his team. Then the 6-foot-4-inch, 208-pound signal caller will head to Austin in June to work out for Texas at their summer camp.
Don’t be surprised if Dormady receives an offer around that time. If that does happen, all signs point to the three-star prospect committing to the Longhorns.
I was hoping he was going to follow through on his promise to come to our camp to throw to try to get an offer.

A source close to four-star tight end prospect Devonaire Clarington (Miami, Fla./ Champagnat Catholic) told Horns247 last night that the highly touted recruit still has legitimate interest in Texas and will be visiting this summer. A date has yet to be set, but look for Clarington to visit sometime around the middle of June.
At this time Miami is considered to be the leader to land the 6-foot-6, 222-pound four-star.

I don't see him going to Texas but this is recruiting.

Top247 wide receiver Carlos Strickland has a double-digit offer list, but he's told the Geaux247 staff that he's narrowed his focus enough to name a lead group of five teams.
"I have a top five," Strickland said. "It's LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma State and Clemson."
Miami became the latest school to offer the Skyline High (Dallas) four-star prospect when they extended a scholarship on Thursday morning. Strickland is ranked by the 247Composite as the No. 15 wide receiver in the country, the No. 15 prospect in Texas and the No. 127 overall prospect in the 2015 class.

Offensive lineman Matthew Burrell (Woodbridge, Va./C.D. Hylton) has a list of 38 scholarship offers including Ohio State, Alabama, Penn State, LSU, South Carolina, Florida State, Florida, Texas, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. He plans to take all five official visits before selecting a college. There is a chance Burrell could announce at least one of his official visits in the next couple of days.
“I’m not sure for a fact,” Burrell said. “I’m still analyzing it. But I might even announce (something) this weekend.”
Burrell has visited Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina State and North Carolina. He plans to visit Alabama, Florida, LSU, Auburn and probably Florida State this summer.
The 6-foot-5 and 308-pound Burrell, a 4-star in the 247Sports Composite, is the country’s No. 75 overall prospect, the No. 10 offensive tackle, and the No. 4 prospect in Virginia.

It is hilarious to me that the in-state kids all won't touch Texas with a 10 foot pole but guys halfway across the South are interested
