Only fans of teams that don't have the opportunity to win one themselves cared about the streak. Which is why I know bama fans are grasping for straws when an auburn fan mentions the iron bowl and a bama fan says yea but what about the streak. Bama fans are (or used to be) too proud to not rely on their own seasons merits.
