We'll occasionally win a game here and there but we'll always lose to the shittiest team in the division every year Johnny. We need you here to prevent that from happening year in and year out. Sound good?

You're selling it wrong. Those are what we call Steve Spurrier Signature Losses™.

2010 Kentucky was bowl eligible and gave Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Auburn a scare in 4 of their losses. I wouldn't call 2010 Kentucky a bad team. Football isn't their sport, but they may have been better than their record indicated. A few defensive stops would have sent several of their losses into overtime.
2011 Auburn was a bad team. That was South Carolina's first WTF loss since they started turning heads.
2012 Florida was good team. 2012 LSU was decent too. Beating LSU in Death Valley is tough. Few teams can even compete with LSU there.
The 2013 Tennessee loss was South Carolina's second WTF loss.
2 WTF losses to bad teams in 4 years isn't that bad given South Carolina's history and the parity of this conference.
