High 3* SG TJ Moss has committed to South Carolina. He was on Penny Hardaway's AAU team, and when Hardaway got the job as Memphis HC handed to him, I was sure Moss would follow him there. But glad I was wrong.
It raises our class from 13th-14th in the SEC to 8th, per 24/7 Sports. Moss is now the highest-rated prospect of our class, and we have room for 1 more scholarship player to be added, provided Fleder returns and Bowen is eligible to play next season....

This is actually a pretty good class so far. Not flashy but fits the Martin mold. Fills some holes with talent.
I gotta admit I'm surprised Moss didn't end up at Memphis after playing for Hardaway. I remember when Hardaway was still in HS at Memphis Treadwell (Elliot Perry was there right around the same time) and Memphis used to be famous for keeping all of their in-town talent at home.
Hardaway, if I remember correctly, was part of that Orlando Magic rookie team that had Shaq around '96. He's a god in Memphis and I suspect he'll shut down recruiting in Memphis again in short order ... a real hotbed for basketball talent. This might get us in the door in the future somehow as well.
So will Martin find another big man or is he after another guard in this class?
