You pretty much nailed it. It is so hard to corral the problem and even those who take meds, their body chemicals change through aging that it is a battle for the meds staying effective. Like you said so many refuse to share and it can be a helpless feeling for you and the sufferer. I can promise you they want to share, but they choose not to for many reasons.

Again, I am sorry for your loss and know your pain.

Since we are sharing, You guys have nailed it.

In my case it was a brought on from PTSD from abuse (neighbor) that occurred from age 6-9. we are talking the 1970's and nobody discussed these things. So i just stuffed it with painkillers until that almost killed me. finally at age 34 I was able to get the words out. Nobody had a clue...

Sorry if this is TMI for anyone but if someone gets anything from it and is able to get help then it has served a purpose.
