2008 SEC Title game sold me
A Tebow lead Gator program was on top of CFB's world, but, Bama hanging with them showed me a bunch about Saban's coaching skills. Gators had like 55 Top 150 ESPN recruits -vs- Bama's 11 Top 150 ESPN recruits (9 were true-freshmen) Bama had no business being in that game, but 2008 Bama over achieved. Good coaching will do that, and 7 loses since the end of 2008 says so too.
Now Bama being one of the most studied teams in the gamefilm room these last 5 season. Makes things tougher on Bama than Saban's coaching skills. Throw in Bama under Saban having twice has many bye-weeks opponents than anyone else during all this. Makes Bama's 72-9 run while being the hunted that much more impressive.

Anyone who thinks Saban wins just by out talenting his opponents is fricking moron. Of course we have a talent advantage over 99% of our competition but the man can coach. He prepares his teams weekly and teaches them to play football. His defensive schemes are a thing of beauty except against spread teams which if you know Nick Saban then you know he'll get that shite fixed.
