only Alabama could lose two games in a row and only fall to #6-9...

damn that espn dickride

Even Bama fans would have to admit that ... it's sad but true and it's probably why so many fans in other conferences hate the SEC.

But they do get, or see times like SCAR beating UCF in Orlando and still dropping two spots in the polls because they don't seem to understand that only Bama gets shown the special privileges and receives the special treatment.

Lookit ... it would not surprise me in the least to see Bama still ranked above SCAR in the final poll, even though SCAR beat two BCS bowl winners, another quasi major bowl winner in the Cotton Bowl winner, and beat seven out of eight bowl teams they played on their schedule ... with seven of those actually winning their bowls.

Not another team in the country can boast that ... but in the end it will be, "Bama beat Tennessee."

Why would they drop lower than 3 loss teams?

Based on who they beat, SCar really deserves to get a lot of love. Maybe top 5.

South Carolina is a really interesting case because they have a really nice collection of wins to point to in Clemson, MU, UCF, and Wisconsin.

They have a really terrible loss in Tennessee but the reality is opinion poll voters are wildly inconsistent with how they reward or punish a bad loss. If the team is a respected media darling (e.g. 2003 USC) the loss is ignored as a fluke. If the team is a no name team with no national following (e.g. 2011 Ok State) it becomes a talking point.
