2012 is obvious: the defense let Bama roll all over them, but the unlucky tipped pass and catch by Conley was something that went against us and cost us the game right there.

Respectfully disagree. Bama's DE made a play/tipped the pass but objectively if you look at the coverage in the endzone, the play had little chance of success even had the pass not been tipped; our receivers were well covered. Bottom line: not matter how you spin it, we did not come up with a winning play in the clutch. Championship teams execute that one play that they have high confidence in and win in those situations.

Saban lost two games this year...the same as Richt last year. And you guys are calling for Richt's job. Go figure.

You can't be serious. If richt had accomplished half of what Saban has he would've earned the benefit of the doubt.

The ball was tipped right to Conley, who, out of instinct, caught the ball and ended the game. The ball could have been tipped on the next play even if we spiked the ball and set up a different play, but the catch is what did us in.

The play we picked may not have worked, but it had worked several times earlier in the year, and we had Bama on their heels. I think it was a good call. Even if it falls incomplete, we still have another shot at it. The catch ended it, and if it wasn't tipped right to Conley (if it was batted down harmlessly, for instance), then we still have another shot.

Yeah, Bama executed, but we didn't lose due to a lack of execution. Just the opposite: we were performing under pressure and driving the ball against the eventual MNC. We had them on their heels and one play with an unforeseeable outcome ended it.
