No one has said that Spurrier is not a good coach and has done wonders at SC. In my opinion, I just think that it looks bad for him personally to act so silly at his age. He has earned the right to be revered as a good coach and a man of integrity and not some silly clown. This has absolutely nothing to do with being a Bama fan, and liking Dabo, because this is not the only team that he has taken little jabs at, but he's the first one to cry when someone turns it around on him.
I will repeat......Steve Spurrier is a very good coach.

Again, this is the epitome of a run of the mill Bama fan comment.

First off, Spurrier is not a "very good" coach, he's an all time great SEC coach. I say that as someone who hates Florida and has no allegiance whatsoever to USCe.

Acting silly? How? By doing something he's done his entire career and taking shots at an easy target, one that he's been dominating for the half a decade?

Again, I swear that some of you Bama fans know nothing of SEC football history outside of "durrr Bear Bryant!" and "15 National Titles!" but in actuality, Spurrier has been doing this for his entire tenure as a head football coach. He derisively called Mack Brown "Mr. Football" while he was at Duke and Brown was at UNC, he called Georgia's Ray Goff "Ray Goof," he called FSU "Free Shoes University," he took shots at Tennessee for always getting stuck in the Citrus Bowl, he took shots at Peyton Manning for not winning the big one, and a few years ago he called Ohio State "runner-up U" when they lost to Florida in both football and basketball NC games. Now he's taking shots at Dabo, who is an extremely easy target. That's not acting like a child...that's gamesmanship at its finest, and he backs it up by winning. Acting like a child is when Lane Kiffin takes potshots at most of the SEC when he was but nothing but a nepotistic coordinator hire who had done nothing as a head coach at any level to back it up.

Excuse me, but I wouldn't exactly call an Arkansas fan an expert on college football or GREAT coaches. How many have you had? At least Bama has something to judge him by. Trust me, I know quite a bit about the history of SEC football, and in my opinion, Steve Spurrier is still acting silly. Something that he did 20 years ago may have been clever and cute, but not so much now.
