So, after a year with him, how does everyone feel about this hire?
I don't know how he is as a recruiter, but based on the amazing progress our secondary made this year I'd say he was a solid hire. Mike Hilton has become a monster, Cody Prewitt is an All-American...but more impressive than that were the play of Bobby Hill and Derrick Jones as true freshmen.
I think the most common surprise of 2013 I saw was our secondary. I'm really thankful for that and can't wait to see how they perform when they have a fully healthy D-Line to support.

90% of what assistant coaches do is recruit. If he can help us there, then I'm happy.

He definitely did a great job with those guys.
I'm more concerned about pass rushing DEs. That is what we need the most. I'm not talking about guys that are just fast and play the position, I mean impact players that actually get it done. The Greg Hardy, Kentrell Lockett type guys. Outside of CJ we don't currently have those guys. Yet...

I have high hopes for Marquis Haynes as a pass rusher as well.

Tony Connor, CJ Hampton, K. Webster...not sure about his roles recruiting them but we are getting some real talent in the d backfield.
