How could you have arguably one of the greatest seasons of all time, and not cross the 50 yard line in the NC to team you already beat? Still thinking about that one.

Their offense had some flaws the entire year, mostly because Jefferson was wildly inconsistent at QB. They just played a more motivated Alabama team with one of the greatest defensive units to ever play football, and the offense got absolutely derailed. Their defense played very well in that game, they just cracked after being put out to dry over and over again.

But you're right. All that being said, that 2011 LSU team had a swagger about them all year. They never seemed to have that swagger in the national title game that year, for whatever reason. Looked like they didn't want to be there.

Weirdest game I've ever attended.

We didn't want to be there against them.

I just felt like we were set up to fail. The mindset is completely diff. Bama is freaking out because they backed into the the bcs title game, and LSU is more like wtf we already beat them. Bama prob was the second best team, but i still dont think the most deserving based on not winning their division and having played a weaker schedule than a certain other team. But they got voted in and showed up to play. It was a shite game, both ds were playing very well for the most part.

Pretty accurate assessment IMO. I think the "butthurt" by LSU fans isn't necessarily Bama getting in, but by the fact that LSU just didn't look excited or prepared to be there. Yes the offense had issues all year, but that shite show was baffling. Everyone knew LSU matched up with Bama better than that. Plus Miles keeping JJ in the game and doubling down on that decision drive after drive was even worse.

It'd have been much easier to swallow had Miles looked like he was coaching to win and gone down swinging rather than just half-assed going through the motions.
