Perhaps a better, more recent, comparison would be Martin Bashir. I didn't see the same talking heads from the right come to his defense like they have for Robertson. I saw a couple rejoicing that he lost his job though.

I think saying homosexuality is a sin in a global level on an off air interview is different than telling a specific woman to eat $#1t on air or in print for his place of work.

Now, do I feel he had the right to say that? You betcha. Just like with A&E they had the right to drop them. I do know that 2 MSNBC employees have lost their jobs due to saying something entirely unwholesome at a specific person in the last 3 months.

At the end of the day we're either going to see A&E shove this under the rug ( for money) or full on kick him off or drop the show (convictions). And the Robertson will choose keep doing the show without Phil (money) or not not do it at all without him (convictions)

I have a feeling that money will win for A&E and convictions for DD.
