Maybe so.

But it's not in fact entirely true.

I just don't get the "SEC, rah-rah" - and respond in kind to that.

Like I said, frick UCLA and certain Pac-12 schools that are my rivals.

I like Aubbie...and never was an FSU fan growing up.

I root for teams moreso than made up and imaginary business arrangements with schools and conferences.

To me Auburn wins the National Title and sticks it to Bama. The SEC doesn't win shite. Auburn wins it...it's theirs...not Ole Miss or Moo State. What the hell did they ever do to claim anything?

Well, you do know that perception still plays a huge part in college football. With the playoff by committee, the importance of this aspect will only be exacerbated. It is actually in our best interest to constantly remind everyone that we are much, much better than you and that our conference is much, much tougher than yours.

And that bothers you. It's not that you don't get it. Hell I don't fully get it. Why does it bother you so much though?

The SEC doing well has benefitted Kentucky directly in recruiting. Stoops is able to go into places like Ohio and sell playing in the SEC, the best conference in the country, as one of his angles despite Kentucky being down.

And quite frankly, the fact that it bothers non-SEC people so damn bad I hope this conference kicks arse. In everything.
