It's because they play in CRAP conference with 1-2 better than average teams.

I agree though #12 might be a tad high for A&M but as the talent level (especially on D) continues to build, then top 10 rankings every year will be the norm.
ALso, without Johnny's freelancing, the offense might actually resemble what SUmlin has always had in mind and what we haven't seen as much of this year.

OBVIOUSLY losing a talent like Manziel will hurt, but maybe not quite as bad as some think. Manziel put us ahead of the curve, but the overall team will be getting better.

I'm more concern about the coaching on defense than the talent you brought in at A&M. Tennessee has had talent ,but it not actually getting them far. Also, Baylor would beat the Aggies. You didn't beat a ranked team all year and had shootouts with plenty of unranked teams. Don't hide behind the SEC banner and downgrade the accomplishments of other teams because they aren't SEC.
