2 reasons:

1) If he stopped, it would be evident that he is leaving and he would look like a shithead coach.

2) If he leaves, I doubt he would want the whole University to go to shite, so he's doing them a solid by recruiting some good players. He would still show loyalty to Bama and always remember the 3 NC he won there.

Maybe he is trying to maintain relationships with players he wants to flip to Texas.

Brown is going out on his terms. He wants to tell the coaches and players personally instead of them reading it on tRant. If he stopped recruiting then everyone would automatically know.imo
